MONROE — Cheesemakers senior Carson Leuzinger was honored a few more times by the Badger Conference before graduating. The shifty, sharpshooting guard was a first-team all-conference selection in basketball, and was named the Badger West Player of the Year after helping Monroe win the conference title.

Leuzinger averaged more than 20 points per game this year, including hitting 50 3-pointers and multiple game-winners. Leuzinger also eclipsed the career 1,000-point threshold in the middle of the season.

Joining him on the first team was teammate JT Seagreaves, who averaged a double-double with 19 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Seagreaves was third in the conference steals (45), fifth in assists (57) and was the league-leader in blocks (32) by more than 10.

Both Leuzinger and Seagreaves were unanimous selections, as were Oregon seniors Ryne Panzer and Deaken Bush. Portage senior Cooper Roberts was also a first-team pick.

Monroe won its first Badger Conference title since 2011, beating Oregon by a game for the West-South Division, and then defeating Portage in the conference championship Feb. 26.
