HARTLAND — The Fury went 2-1 at the girls hockey Hartland tournament over Thanksgiving weekend.
Rock County split with Arrowhead in games played Nov. 29 and 30, and blew out Brookfield Central 11-3 Nov. 29.
In the opening game of the tournament, Arrowhead won 2-0 thanks to goals in the first and third periods. Shannon Dwyer put the first one into the back of the net at the 7:56 mark in the first period on a power play. In the third, Lindsey McLean took a pass from Dwyer to light the lamp for the second goal of the game.
Olivia Cronin made 18 saves in net for the Fury.
In the second game Nov. 29, the Fury melted the Brookfield Glacier. Rock County went up 5-0 in the first before Brookfield could answer.
Anika Einbeck of Monroe had a hat trick in the first period, with Albany’s Haley Knauf scoring two goals herself. In the second period, Einbeck added two goals while Alyssa Knauf of Albany added one.
Haley Knauf, Janesville Parker’s Olivia Combs and Beloit Memorial’s Amery Stuckey all scored in the third.
Brookfield scored one goal in the first and two in the second period.
Alyssa Knauf had five assists in the game, while Haley Knauf had three, Beloit Memorial’s Sara Loerke three, Einbeck two, Combs one, Stuckey one and Anna Malone one.
Brooke Teubert of Brodhead had 13 saves in net as the Fury outshot the Glacier 34-16.
In the 4-0 Nov. 30 win over Arrowhead, Rock County got on the board in the second when Lena-Winslow’s Sarah Edler put the puck into the back of the net off a pass from Janesville Craig’s Sara Nerad.
Einbeck scored twice in the third — the first off a pass from Haley Knauf, and the second an unassisted short-hand goal. Alyssa Knauf scored the final goal of the game off a pass from Einbeck.
Cronin stopped 12 shots in net as the Fury outshot Arrowhead 51-12.
