BARABOO — The Fury U19 Girls hockey team swept Sun Prairie U19 in a pair of games at Poppy Waterman Ice Arena Jan. 1, 5-3 and 2-0.
Anika Einbeck of Monroe had six goals on the day, with Sara Loerke scoring the other goal. Alyssa Knauf of Albany had five assists, while Emma Kligora and Kylie Evans each had two assists and Samantha Wells added another. Netminder Leah Wangerin had 55 saves on the day. The Fury outshot Sun Prairie 74-58.
Up next for the Fury is a Jan. 8 Senior Night against Sun Prairie at SLICE in Monroe, with a game at Hartland Arrowhead the next day.

Monroe 4, New Berlin 4
The Avalanche varsity team needed to rally in the third period of their game Dec. 31 at SLICE to force a tie.
Monroe took a 1-0 lead after the first period, but found itself behind 3-2 at the second intermission.
Ryan Molitor led Monroe with two goals and an assist. Blaze Janecke had a goal and two assists, and Hayden Roth had a goal and an assist. Cade Janecke and Roman Bauer each added assists for Monroe. In net, Jayden Johnson had 38 saves.
Monroe hosts Waunakee Jan. 7 and Madison West Jan. 9.
