MONROE — The Rock County Fury girls hockey team will host the annual Pink the Rink night for its game against Lakeshore (West Bend) Dec. 21 at SLICE in Monroe.
The game is the first of three home games to be played in Monroe. The team splits its other home games between Janesville and Beloit.
The Pink the Rink night promotes cancer awareness and will have several activities, games and donation boxes for spectators to play. The Fury will wear pink jerseys and will contribute dollars collected during the evening — between T-shirt sales, raffles and donations — to the Monroe Clinic Mammography Department.
The puck drops for the varsity game at 6:15 p.m. with the JV game scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
Activities for spectators include free admission, Fury T-shirts, Pick-A-Stick, a Cancer Sucks sucker game, cookies and baked goods for sale and multiple raffles.
