EAST TROY — Moving from the Badger to the Rock Valley, Monroe still clinched track and field conference championships for both the boys and girls at the divisional meet on Tuesday, April 30. Both teams entered the meet with four points in duals and needed to finish second or better to guarantee a share of the title.

Monroe girls beat second-place East Troy 140-87, while Monroe boys beat second-place Jefferson 160-98. It is the boys fifth straight conference title — four in the Badger and now one in the Rock Valley. It was the girls first conference championship since 2010.

“You could see the girls’ passion to win and bring a conference championship back to Monroe,” girls head coach Eric Jubeck said. “This was a season goal and they did it with style.”
