BLANCHARDVILLE — Argyle-Pecatonica proved home-field advantage is real, as the Orioles took third its SWAL Conference meet at Yellowstone Golf Course on Monday, May 8. The team shot a season best 179, while Kyle Theorin and Glenn Jayne shot personal bests of 44.

“It was really good to see Kyle and Glenn play well. We’ve depended on Alex [Ruetten] and Evan [Dochnal] for most of the season to post our low individual scores,” Argyle-Pecatonica head coach Chuck Chandler said. “Hopefully that’s a sign of things to come. Now we head into tournament play with the SWAL Conference Tournament on May 16 and WIAA Regionals on May 23. It’ll take an entire team effort to finish this season the way we want to.”

Alex Ruetten led the team with a 43, while Evan Dochnal rounded out the top four with a 48.

Darlington took sixth with a team score of 151. Olin Johnson and Oscar Thuli led the Redbirds with scores of 41. Eli Aird carded a 49 and Alex Fox rounded out the top four with a 56.
