NEW GLARUS - When the Knights take the field May 11 against conference foe Marshall they will be wearing pink and raising money for cancer research.
Last year the Knights held their first "Strike Out Cancer" event. Before the game each player will release a balloon in dedication to someone who has or has had cancer.
During the game fans will be able to donate or purchase raffle tickets for prizes. The Knights will be wearing the jerseys from last year's event. This year, New Glarus will also be wearing special visors courtesy of Heartland Graphics, Monroe.
There will only be a limited supply made just for this event.
During the game, six visors will be on sale for $10 each. There will two visors given away as raffle prizes. Each visor will be signed by the team. There also will be two pink balls that will be signed and given away.
Tickets will be sold during the game and a prize will be given away at the end of each inning.
This also marks the Knights last home game of the season and the last regular season game for five seniors.
