MONROE - The Monroe Ice Breakers junior hockey team is holding a prospect tryout camp this Sat., Sept. 27 at the Mandt Center at 400 Mandt Parkway in Stoughton.
Camp registration is at 10 a.m. with tryouts starting at 11 a.m. There is no cost, and tryouts are for local players only.
The Wisconsin Junior Hockey League does not charge players league fees. The cost for Monroe residents playing in Monroe is less than the cost of playing for a travel or club team.
The Monroe Ice Breakers is a new semi-pro junior league team that consists of a roster filled with players from all over North America.
Practices throughout the season will be five days a week with a 60-game schedule starting in October.
