BLANCHARDVILLE - A.J. Hendrickson needed 25 points Friday night to reach 2,000 for his career.
The Pecatonica senior scored 26 to help the Vikings get past Highland 66-50 in a Six Rivers Conference East-West Challenge game.
Hendrickson made a fast-break layup with about 4 minutes to play to surpass the milestone to become the 29th boys basketball player in the state to get to 2,000 points.
"It's an accomplishment that's for sure," Pecatonica coach Matt Fink said. "That's pretty rare air for high school boys basketball in the state. And he gets there through the opportunity and chance to play with some very good players and good teams through the years. It's a collective effort, and I'm sure he would agree with that."
Sophomore Colten Schraepfer also had 26 points, including five 3-pointers.
Schraepfer scored 17 points and Hendrickson had 14 in the first half to help Pecatonica build a 37-30 lead.
Black Hawk 88, Potosi 70
SOUTH WAYNE - Junior C.J. Leuzinger made a career-high seven 3-pointers and finished with 23 points to power the Warriors past Potosi in a Six Rivers crossover game.
Sophomore Conner Meyer added 21 points and senior Josh Meier had 18 for the Warriors (13-3). Sophomore Kyle Lovelace had two of the Warriors' 11 3-pointers.
Leuzinger had 14 points and Meyer had 13 points in the first half to help Black Hawk gain a 54-38 advantage.
"Obviously C.J. had a really good shooting night," Black Hawk coach Charlie Anderson said. "A lot of it was our pressure and the tempo of our offense. That really got us going."
Potosi, which hit nine 3-pointers in the game, got 20 points from Ethan Groom.
Juda 62,
River Ridge 46
JUDA - Junior Keagan Haffele's offense in transition and senior Matt Schmitt's strong night on the boards and overall performance propelled the Panthers to victory in a Six Rivers East-West Challenge game.
Haffele finished with 21 points and five assists. Schmitt had 16 points, 21 rebounds, five blocks and five steals.
Senior Skyler Stuckey added 10 points, four assists, four steals and three blocks.
The Panthers (11-6) jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first 5 minutes of the game and were ahead 34-20 at the half.
"River Ridge fought hard in the second half and cut it to 11, but we closed the game the right way, taking care of the ball and getting good shots," Juda coach James Pickett said.
Albany 48,
Cassville 35
ALBANY - Sophomore Corbin Kelly scored 16 points and junior Jamison Stauffacher added 12 points to carry the Comets (7-10) to victory.
Kelly, who had two 3-pointers, had 11 points in the first half when Albany edged ahead 21-20. Stauffacher scored 10 points in the second half to help the Comets outscore Cassville 27-15.
Jack Jensen hit five 3s and scored 17 points to lead Cassville.
Argyle 53,
Belmont 44
ARGYLE - The Orioles picked up their third win of the season with a strong effort in a Six Rivers crossover game.
Senior Collin Argue scored a game-high 21 points, including 11 in the first half to help the Orioles (3-13) build a 28-20 lead.
"I think we came out with great energy," Argyle coach Justin Jenson said. "We picked up our defensive pressure from the way we had been playing recently and that led to some easy transition baskets in the first half."
Argyle was able to keep a 10-point lead for the majority of the second half.
"Belmont played man and 2-1-2 defenses," Jenson said. "Our guys did a good job adjusting every time they changed defenses up."
Junior Brent Ritschard added 10 points, and junior Dylan Stietz had nine for Argyle.
"Dylan Stietz did a great job," Jenson said. "I don't know how many rebounds he had but he was all over the boards. Every time there was a missed shot, he was there."
Darlington 72, Mineral Point 67
DARLINGTON - Trevor Johnson scored 23 points and Ryan Glendenning added 20 points, and the SWAL-leading Redbirds scored their second victory of the season over second-place Mineral Point.
Darlington trailed 11-2 early but the game was tied at 33 at halftime. Glendenning helped Darlington pull away by scoring 14 points in the second half.
Josh Soper added 15 points for Darlington.
New Glarus 72, Cambridge 64
CAMBRIDGE - Three players combined for 61 points to lead the Glarner Knights to victory.
For New Glarus, junior Cullen Brooks scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half, sophomore Jaden Kreklow scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half, and sophomore Zach Feller had three 3-pointers and finished with 18 points.
New Glarus trailed 32-31 at halftime but outscored Cambridge 41-32 in the second half.
