BRODHEAD - Clinging to a four-point lead entering the fourth quarter Tuesday, the second-seeded Cardinals outscored the seventh-seeded Blue Devils 17-7 down the stretch, and for the game made 23 of 32 free throws to capture a 48-34 win and advance to the Division 2 Verona regional semifinal.

Senior Dana Lewis scored 13 points to lead Brodhead (15-8) while senior Riley Olson added 10 points.

Evansville (3-20) got 10 points from Mallorie Phalin.

Brodhead will host No. 3 seed Edgerton in the regional semifinal Thursday.
