Steven Frederick Field, age 70, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on March 4, 1953 the son of Arleigh and Helen (Gavigan) Field.  He graduated from Monroe High School.  Steven was united in marriage to Laurie Theiler on October 25, 1980 in Monroe. 

Steven started his career in retail, working at Benkert’s Clothing Store. He later worked at Pierce Furniture in Brodhead for 20 years and then Monroe Furniture until his retirement in 2020.  Steven enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and spending time with his family.

Steven is survived by his wife, Laurie; mother, Helen Field; sons, Kevin (Victoria Richardson) Field and Tyler (fiancé, Annie Disch) Field; grandchildren, Daphne Field and Darcy Richardson; and brothers, Michael (Kathy) Field and Mark Field.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arleigh.
