Skott Harold Kampfer, age 54 of Blanchardville died on March 3, 2020 at the UW Hospital from complications from diabetes and surgery. He was born to James Kampfer Sr. and Anne Marie Bratrud Emberson on November 8, 1965 in Monroe. He attended the Pecatonica schools in Blanchardville and Hollandale, Wisconsin from grades 1-12. He was a member of the Adams Lutheran Church. He farmed, and served in the Blanchardville Fire Department for 10 years. Over the years he held several jobs, farming with Emberson brothers, worked at Zim’s Cheese, A&H in Footville, Dearth Livestock, Flannery Farms, and lately for Top Logistics of New Glarus. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and loved playing cards and pool.

Skott is survived his mother, Anne Emberson of Blanchardville; his brothers, James Kampfer, Jr. (Michelle Jones) of Ridgeway, Jeff Emberson of San Antonio, TX, Dale (Patty) Emberson of Argyle, and Mark Emberson (Becky Doran) of Blanchardville; and several nieces and nephews, Kolten, Ariana, Courtney, Kyle, Justin, Dillin, Nicole, Anissa, Castil, Macy, Alex, Marcell, Mckenna and Aleighya. He was preceded in death by his father, James Kampfer, Sr. of Monroe in 2017; step-father Robert Emberson of Blanchardville in 2006; grandparents Harold & Sigrid Bratrud; step-grandparents Helen and Marvin Emberson of Blanchardville; and several aunts and uncles on both sides. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Skott Kampfer will be held on Thursday evening, March 12, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Blanchard Hall at 204 South Main Street in Blanchardville, and from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Adams Lutheran Church at N7148 County Road A in rural Argyle. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Rev. Shelly Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in the Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery. Saether Funeral Service in Blanchardville is assisting the family.
