Saisamorn “Timmy” Lane, age 81 of Monroe, died on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. Timmy was born to loving parents on July 10, 1939 in Thailand. She taught school in Thailand for several years before her marriage to Harold E. Lane in 1973. In 1979, the couple moved to Monroe where Timmy was employed in housekeeping at St. Clare Hospital until retiring in 2003.
Timmy was proud of her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. They will have fond memories of holidays at her apartment, meals at her favorite Mexican restaurant, and shopping.
She is survived by four children: Surachart Luangaram, Chatchai Luangaram, Sopida “Jackie” Wongsupin, and Kathleen (Charles) Spencer - six grandchildren: Mack Luangaram, Chonika Wongsupin, Supicha Wongsupin, Justin Luangaram, Saisamorn Luangaram, and Daphne Spencer - one great grandchild, Henry Barnett.
She will be missed and cherished by her relatives and friends in Thailand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in July 2003.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in her name for the Monroe Clinic Foundation.
