Roger A. Liddicoat, age 64 of Darlington, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home in Darlington. He was born April 25, 1954 in Freeport, IL the son of Carl and Norma (Ault) Liddicoat. Roger graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, WI. He was united in marriage to Ardith Kay Peterson on March 31, 1979 in Monroe. Roger lived in the Monroe area most of his life where he farmed and held many factory jobs until moving to Darlington in 1996.

Roger is survived by two sons: Carl (Kari) Liddicoat and Randal (Julia Rielly) Liddicoat both of Darlington; one daughter: Susan (Dan) Sullivan of Rockford, IL; a step-son: Jerry Boegli of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 1 foster son: Greg Vargas of Mineral Point, WI; four sisters: Karen (Darrell Hill) Nordstrad of Oceanside, California, Donna (Mike) Mackesey of Monroe, Lois (Perry) Bond of Monroe, and Joyce (Keith) Russel of Washington State; one half-brother: Joseph (Tracy) Bahl of Evansville, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife Ardi on April 12, 2015; his birth mother: Norma Ault; his step-mother: Frieda Liddicoat; and one granddaughter: Hannah Boegli.

Roger served in the United States Air Force from 1972 until being honorably discharged in 1974. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren creating memories they will all remember forever. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington (508 Park Place, Darlington). Burial will be at the Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
