Robert Gene Beverley, age 87, of Monroe passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at his home. He was born the son of Kenneth and Alice (Weber) Beverley on May 9, 1932 in Freeport, IL. Robert married Ellen Moyer, together they had four children. He later was united in marriage to Patricia Potter.

Bob was the Circulation Manager at The Monroe Times for many years. He attended St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his children, Todd Beverley of Orlando, FL, Robert Beverley of Tampa, Fl, and Theresa (Mike) McGuire of Beloit, as well as 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ellen and Patricia; son Jamie Beverley; and grandson, Matthew Moyer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Chapel hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
