Robert “Bob” Hintzman, age 84 of Monroe, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI. He was born on April 29, 1934 the son of Clarence and Hattie (Maas) Hintzman of Brodhead, Wisconsin.

Bob was a proud member of the United States Marines. After serving during the Korean War, he spent several years farming in the Brodhead area. After farming, he opened a welding shop serving the local folks of Brodhead and surrounding rural communities. He enjoyed listening and playing bluegrass music. He loved tinkering with his hands, but also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Bob’s greatest enjoyment was spending time as a model train enthusiast.

Bob is survived by his companion of 19 years, Sharon Andrews of Monroe; children: Danny (Carol) Hintzman of Rockdale Texas, Barbara (Don) Hansen of Beloit, William (Jennifer) Hintzman of Cedar City, Utah, and James (Ulrike) Hintzman of Amberg Germany; 10 grandchildren: Tricia Contrares, Damon and Derrick Hintzman, Matthew Wirth, Aaron and David Morrison, Christopher and Steven Hintzman, and Joshua and Jamie Zweifel; a brother and sister: Laverne (Arleen) Hintzman and Beverly (Virgil) Deininger both of Brodhead.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Roberta (Dale) Zweifel.

A visitation with Bob’s Family will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, November 25, 2018 followed by a short service to celebrate Bob’s Life starting at 2:00PM, officiated by Pastor Scott Cernek at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr. in Monroe, WI.
