Robert “Bob” Bocklund, age 77 of Albany passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on September 5, 1945 the son of Carl and Eva (Listy) Bocklund.  He graduated from DeKalb High School. 

Bob married Edith Dennison on July 25, 1970 in Sycamore, IL.  He worked at a variety of jobs over the years, Dick’s Supermarket, Pleasant View Nursing Home, Swiss Heritige Cheese Factory, home construction, and as a diesel mechanic.  He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.   Bob enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre.  He also enjoyed bingo, hunting, fishing, and Packers.  

Robert is survived by his wife, Edith; children, Shan Bocklund of Madison, Anthony Bocklund of Madison, and Mindy Bocklund of Albany; sister, Betty Bernehl of Sycamore, IL; and his three furry girls Ellie, Gracie, and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Hughs, Mildred Griswold, Beverly Morrison, Julia Wood, and Janet Carraher; and brothers Floyd (Sunny) Arnold, Carl Jr., and Dale Bocklund.   

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating.
