Randall “Oak” Erickson, age 69, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born the son of Arlin and Shirley (McConnell) Erickson on June 26, 1952 in Darlington. He was a 1970 graduate of Darlington High School. Randy was united in marriage to Penny Ann Berg on February 25, 1989 in Monroe.

In high school Randy was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball, and track which led him to his nickname of “Oak”. His passion for sports was passed down to his children and he never missed an opportunity to watch them play; they were always his top priority. He was also an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially the Brewers.  He faithfully watched NASCAR on Sundays and enjoyed going to the Milwaukee Mile. Oak loved fishing and taking daily drives on the back roads of Green County. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

After high school he worked various jobs, including being a cement truck operator at Monroe Ready Mix, before starting his apprenticeship with Monroe Plumbing in the early 80’s.  Oak owned and operated Juda Plumbing for several years until relocating to Monroe where he transitioned and ran Oak’s Plumbing.

Oak is survived by his wife, Penny of Monroe; children, Kelsey (fiancé, Michael Barrett) Erickson of Milton and Ryan Erickson of Monroe; his mother, Shirley Erickson of Monroe; siblings, Gail (Mark) Bundner of Verona, Rod (Ruth) Erickson of Tomah, Lori (Dennis) Holyoke of Monroe, and Eric (Deb) Erickson of Browntown; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlin.
