ALBANY – Phyllis Caroline Perrin, age 81 passed away on September 13, 2021 while at her home.

Phyllis was born on January 31, 1940 in rural Ontario/Crook Creek, Wisconsin. She was raised in the Sparta area, before moving to Mundelein, IL. Phyllis worked as an RN, starting in 1962 and worked in the labor and delivery departments at Ravenswood Hospital and Condell Hospital in Libertyville.

After retiring in 1994, Phyllis and Richard moved to Albany and built their log home. After retirement Phyllis kept herself very busy with various activities including; teaching kids to sew, taking kids on field trips, volunteering at the lion’s club & many other projects. Many knew Phyllis as the “Jam Lady”.  Phyllis and husband Richard could often be found at the local farm markets and produce shows to sell their jellies, jams and anything that could be pickled as Caroline's Old Tyme Products.

Phyllis loved morel mushroom hunting, gardening, sewing baby blankets and PJS.  She was a good cook and was particularly good at pie making.  Phyllis loved her family and her friends who sometimes became extended family like Faye at Turkey Ridge Apple Orchard in Gays Mills, WI.

Phyllis has a special place her in heart for nature, animals, children & good stories.  Phyllis said there were no strangers, just friends she had not met yet.

Phyllis is survived by her three children, Richard Perrin, Michael (Jasmine) Perrin and Carrie Perrin; 1 grandson, Thorin Perrin; 3 sisters, Yvonne Gerlach, Bea (Chuck) Catanzaro and Clare (Bob) Sklodowski; 2 brothers, Lavere Fischer and Sonny Erickson and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Revels; four siblings, Donna Mehl, Arlyce Manning, Bud Ellsworth Erickson and Dennis Erickson and her husband, Richard on April 10, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in her memory.

Memorial services will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  A visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
