After bravely facing many years of illness, Patricia “Patty” Ellen Milliken, 71, of Winslow, passed away surrounded by family on November 15, 2021, at the SSM Health Monroe Hospice Home in Monroe, Wis.
Patricia was born on March 3, 1950 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Clarence and Charlotte (Colvin) Stumbaugh. Patty is a 1968 graduate of Orangeville High School. She married Michael Milliken on February 24th, 1973 in McConnell, IL.
Patty was employed by Advance Transformer in Monroe, WI before retiring due to health reasons. She was a member of the McConnell American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Winslow Grace Bible Church.
Nothing gave Patty more joy than being a Grandma to her five grandchildren. She took interest in every aspect of their lives. She loved watching Joe play football; Hannah play basketball; Abby dance; Emma swim; and Madilyn dive. She was the very best Mom and Grandma.
Patty is survived by her husband, Michael, of Winslow and her children: Brad and Jenny Milliken of Winslow, IL; Lyle and Erin Rich of Machesney Park, IL. Grandchildren: Joseph and Hannah Milliken of Winslow, IL; Abby, Emma and Madilyn Rich of Machesney Park, IL; one sister, Janice (Robert) Kaiser of Lena, IL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sandra (Frank) Calderon; and her lifelong friends, Karly Huber and Janice Wilson.
Although we will miss her laughter and kind spirit, we are grateful that she is no longer in pain.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private service is planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made to the SSM Health Monroe Hospice Home.
