Age 90 of Monroe, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. Lois was born on August 9, 1928 in Warren, IL, the daughter of Emil and Marie (Hintz) Kant. She attended Warren schools and married Verlen J. Eberle on June 11, 1945 in Blanchardville. Lois farmed with husband for many years in the Juda and Monroe areas. In her younger years she was an active member of East Clarno United Methodist Church and the Green County Homemakers. She also belonged to the Monroe Moose Lodge and enjoyed reading and traveling.
She is survived by six children, Barbara Marean of New Glarus, Jene (Sue) Eberle of Monroe, Andy (JoAnn) Eberle of Juda, Terry (Cathy) Eberle of Durand, IL, Tim (Sue) Eberle of Madison, and John (Debra) Eberle of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Stacy Eberle of Monroe; 25 grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren; and two great greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Verlen, on August 17, 1995; a son, Randy Eberle in 2011; grandson, Jeff Marean in 1975; greatgrandson, Deacon Eberle in 2003; a brother, Orville Kant; and two sisters, Dorothy Baker and Viola Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 1329 31st Ave., Monroe, with Reverend Randy Booth officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
