Leonard R. Kallembach, age 91, of Argyle passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. He was born the son of Theodore and Anna (Herzig) Kallembach on May 31, 1930 in Sycamore, IL. He was a graduate of Sycamore High School. Leonard was united in marriage to Alberta J. Rowe on December 22, 1956 in Sycamore, IL; she preceded him in death in 2004.

Leonard proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Farmed for many years in the Argyle area. He was a member of the Jordan Lutheran Church in Browntown and AMPI; he enjoyed Sunday drives, picnics, going out to eat, canoeing and horse riding; his trip to Mexico to see the pyramids.

He is survived by his his children, Larry Kallembach, Darrel Kallembach, Kim (Doug) Pierce, Dwight (Jia jia) Kallembach, Lisa Kallembach, Brent (Melissa) Kallembach, Kent Kallembach, and Heather (Justin) Griffin; 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alberta; son, David Kallembach; and brother, Don Kallembach.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday April 4, 2022 at Our Savior’s  Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating.  Burial will take place at Jordan Lutheran Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home in Monroe.
