Lee Roy McKibben Sr. age 64, Rockford, Ill, unexpectedly passed away on July 18, 2018.

Lee was born on Sept. 28, 1953 in Freeport, Ill, To Jack E. McKibben Sr. and Anna (Holland) McKibben. He attended the Red Rock country school and Darlington Wi. grade and senior high school.

Lee enlisted in the United States Army in 1969, during the Vietnam era, where he received his GED diploma while in the army. Lee was stationed in Ky. Texas, Hawaii, Germany and many other overseas locations within his 14 years of service. He was forced into retirement because of his hearing loss. He also worked at Chrysler and various other garages, and loved being a mechanic.

He is survived by his partner Mary Decker Rockford, Il, his 9 children Lee Jr. Texas, Katie (Chris) Rinker, Betsy of New Jersey, Brian and Daniel of Tx. Johnny Monroe, Wi, Sondra, Jessica, Tyler all of Winnebago, Ill one grandson Bryce Rinker N.J. two sisters Helen (Ronald) Johnson Browntown, Wi, Sally Kahl Monroe, Wi, three brothers Charles, and Randy (Kim) Monroe, and Gary (Laurie Peterson) Argyle, Wi. Three aunts and one uncle and numerous nieces and nephews. And his beloved dog Petey.

He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, twin sons, sister Georgia Shirley, brothers David, Jesse, Jack Jr. and two sister- in-laws.

Funeral and celebration of life will be Sat. July 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Schwarz Funeral Home 608 S. Park Blvd. Freeport, Ill. burial will be at a later date in Darlington, Wi. A memorial fund is established in his name.
