Kenneth Schindler

Kenneth Schindler, age 83, of Monroe, died on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 23, 1937 in Monroe, the son of Harry and Hulda (Wuethrich) Schindler. He was a 1955 graduate of Monroe High School.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Lillian Smith on September 13, 1958, she passed in 2002. He then was blessed with his “business partner”, Daria Schwarzenberger.

Kenneth worked in maintenance at Joseph Huber Brewing Company, R. Mueller Cheese Factory Equipment, Dorman’s Cheese Factory and Swiss Colony.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #754. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, playing cards and loved to watch the Badgers and Packers.

He is survived by, Daria Schwarzenberger of Monroe, children: Denise Schindler, Gary (Dan Dietzel) Schindler of Madison, Todd (Sherri) Schindler of Monroe, Dawn Schober, Cindy (Dan) Klatt and Joe (Laurie) Schwarzenberger; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Dick) Cornwell of Evansville, and Joanne Clark of Monroe; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Lillian.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE funeral home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will take place at Bethel Hawthorne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the funeral home. Continued visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial fund is being established in Ken’s memory.
