Juanita M. Brandt, age 91 of Monroe, died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Monroe Health Services. She was born on December 9, 1930 at home in Monroe, the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Voegeli) Isely. She went to Jordan Center School. Juanita married Frederick W. Brandt on April 14, 1948 in Brodhead.

She farmed in Jordan Center with her husband until 1975, when they moved to Monroe; she went to work at Rosa’s, which she always said was her dream job. She ended up working at Pleasant View Nursing Home in the kitchen. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, belonged to Antique Wheelers; she enjoyed orchids, roses and her flower gardens, card making, crocheting and other types of needlework; and most of all her grandkids. She was always helping others, and many times offered to be a caregiver if needed.

She is survived by her sons: Steven (Cindy) Brandt, Richard (Doreen) Brandt, Donald (Tammy) Brandt; daughters: Linda (James) Bauman, Joan (Jerry Metz) Brandt, Debra (Jeff) Rupnow, and Susie (Kenton) Krueger; 10 grandchildren: Kristin, Traci, Jackie, Janel, Jorden, Jeanna, Brad, Alex, Jenna, and Savannah; 9 great-grandchildren: Madisyn, Rielle, Brooks, Ayden, Anna, Trent, Hailey, Aspen, and Lucy; brothers: LaVerne (Linda) Isely; sister, Delores (Alvin) Bernet; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Allen Isely.

Private funeral services will be held at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
