Glenda A. Wyssbrod, 83 passed away April 18, 2023 at the New Glarus Home. Glenda was born June 10, 1939 in Monroe, daughter of Glenn and Edna (Seyler) Lewis. She grew up on the family farm in Jordan Township. She attended Banner grade school and graduated in 1957 from Argyle High School. She raised 4 children and worked on the farm and the Valley View Cheese factory.
She enjoyed refinishing antiques, painting and collecting old dolls. When she retired, she enjoyed traveling, playing Rummy, flying kites, gardening, and listening to country music. Glenda was a member of Martintown Community Church.
Glenda is survived by her children, James (Laurie) Hegi, Julie Knoke, Jennie Wyssbrod, and Jill (Steve) Reynolds all of Monroe; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Edna Lewis; brother, Thomas; husband, John; and mother-in-law, Rose.
A private family graveside service will be held at Saucerman Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Cernek officiating. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Glenda’s family would like to extend a big thank you to Agrace for their compassion and assistance in helping mom. A memorial is being established in Glenda’s name.
