Fritz Treuthardt

Fritz Treuthardt of Belleville, WI passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.  Fritz was born on March 11, 1936, to David and Lydia (Leibundgut) Treuthardt.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1959, being stationed in Rafael, CA.  He was honorably discharged in 1961. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic/operator and drove dump truck for Benny Everson Trucking.  Eventually purchasing the business and operating as Fritz Treuthardt Trucking until 2002.  He also was the patrolman for Exeter Township.

Fritz enjoyed spending time with his family and pets, sharing a good joke, going to auctions, swiss music, Limburger cheese, a swig or two of brandy, and playing cards.  He always kept his Euchre partner shaking their head when they’d find out he made trump with only having the 9 of trump in his hand.  He will be remembered as a loving dad, reliable friend, beloved brother, but Fritz’s best role was that of proud Papa Fritz. He was the happiest when he was with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Fritz is survived by the joys of his life: loyal companion, Kayzer, his grandchildren, Tyler (Cortney Bertelrud) Hanson, David Stampfli, Cortney (Derek) Gilbertson and Kiel (Baileigh) Stampfli, great grandchildren, Brynliegh, Braxton, Emberliegh, Bransyn, Carter, Blakelyn, Cason and Layne; special friend, Dave Stampfli and daughters, Wendy and Betsy.  He is further survived by Henry (Chris) and Mary Mitchell, his sisters-in-law, Rosemary, Gloria, Beverly and Marjorie, and several nieces and nephews.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter, Charliegh, brothers Louis, David, John, Emil, Robert, Walter, Frank and Carl.

Despite his tough exterior and stubbornness, he was truly loving, caring and devoted to his family and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
