Evelyn M. Martin, of Monroe age 97, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Monroe Health Services. Evelyn the daughter of Loren L. and Maude A. (Morris) Hare was born on March 12, 1921. She married Eugene “Pepper” Martin on April 8, 1939. 

Evelyn worked at Oaktron Industries for over 30 years. After retiring she and Pepper enjoyed their winters in Largo, Florida. She was an avid bingo player, loved cards and garage sales. 

She is survived by her four children, Sandy Shaffer of Spring Green, Vicki, (Dan) Schuur of Monroe, Jim (Sue) Martin of Stoughton, and Scott (Sandy) Martin of Batavia, IL; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene in 1990; three sister, Hazel Ott, Opal Nicholas, and Helen Kundert Mottley; two brothers, Morris Hare and O.L. “Doug” Hare; and son-in-law, Eldon Shaffer.
