Doran Delbert Steiner, age 74, of Monroe passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home. He was born the son of Clarence and Norma (Tschabold) Steiner on April 20, 1948 in Monroe. He was a graduate of Monroe High School. Doran was united in marriage to Fern Murray on May 11, 1985, at St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Doran worked at Grede Foundry (formerly known as Iroquois Foundry) in Browntown for 55 years. When he was younger he enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball. He loved to play cards, especially euchre; he also liked classic cars, going to car shows, and hunting.

Doran is survived by his wife, Fern; children, Justin (Brittany) Steiner, Jordan (Maggie) Steiner, Angie (Tim) Jacobson, Shelly (Mark) Banfield, and Brad (Becky) Steiner; grandchildren, Griffin, Greyson, Ellie, Jack, Hayes Nicholas, Jill, Alex, Taylor, Brittney, Denver, Preston, Gage, Aden, Riley, Hayes, and Cole; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Laurie) Steiner, David Steiner, and Donnie (Donna) Steiner; and sister, Marley Lindsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
