Don L. Svendsen, age 83 of Browntown died Friday, January 7, 2022 at his home. He was born on April 05, 1938, the son of John and Gladys (Landon) Svendsen. He attended South Wayne High School. He was untied in marriage to Stella Boss on October 21, 1961 in Monroe.
Don was the owner and operator of Svendsen’s Welding and Repair in Browntown from 1977-2017.
Don is survived by his children, Donald (Bonnie Bitz) Svendsen of Juda, Cindy Svendsen of Monroe, and Terry (Marie) Svendsen of Browntown; step-children, Louis Colthard of Monroe, Mick Strothman of Juda, Stella (Jim) Koseck of Monroe, Norma Strothman of Waupaca, and Tammy Walters of LaCrosse; sister Doris (Clem) Barbender; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella; daughter, Gail Svendsen; step-children, Al, Stan, and Norman Strothman; brothers; John Jr., Wesley, and Victor Svendsen; sisters, Audrey Segner, Betty Svendsen, Alice Clouse, and Elsie McGrath; grandchildren, Travis Blevins and Ashley Svendsen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2021 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Dave Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Saucerman Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
A memorial fund will be established.
