David L. Hauser, age 66, of Monroe, died on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Monroe Clinic Hospice House, after a short battle with cancer, with his children by his side. Dave was born on June 4, 1955 in Monroe to Robert and Shirley (Wheeler) Hauser. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974 and graduated from Brodhead High School the same year. He and Sue Brunner married on October 30, 1976. Dave worked for 40 years at Monroe Truck Equipment. The most important work in his life was the door-to-door ministry which he participated in regularly since his teen years and was able to do full time from 1974 to 1977 and again following his retirement in 2020. Dave was known as a kind and hospitable man, a good friend, always working hard to care for others. He was extremely proud of the volunteer work his two children are doing and enjoyed visiting them in their various assignments. He cherished his hope of living again with his family in the future paradise on earth.
He is survived by his son Joshua (Ana) Hauser of Dunbar, West Virginia; his daughter Lisa (Brad) Bourquin of Lubumbashi, Congo; two brothers, Richard (Diana) Hauser of Arizona and Shane (April) Hauser of Milwaukee; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brothers John and Austin and his dear wife Sue in 2016.
Memorial service will be held virtually on Saturday, July 17, 2021 with Robert Haesler officiating. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
