Carl W. Treuthardt, age 84 of Argyle, WI, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the New Glarus Home in New Glarus. He was born April 30, 1934 in Green County, WI, the son of David and Lydia (Leibumgut) Treuthardt. Carl lived in Argyle most of his life. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Carpenter on September 9, 1956 at his home in Green County, Wisconsin. Carl was an over the road truck driver for 50 years. He started driving a dump truck in 1950 and eventually bought his own truck in 1979 and hauled products from Alaska to the East Coast and South to Texas. Carl later worked for Argyle Industries.
Carl is survived by his wife: Marjorie; four children: Brian Treuthardt, Dan (Carla) Treuthardt, Gene (Glenda) Treuthardt, Robin (Scott) Argue all of Argyle; six grandchildren: Danielle, Jessica, and Jason Treuthardt, Alec and Cameron Treuthardt and Collin Argue; two brothers: Fritz Treuthardt of Belleville, WI, and Henry (Chris) Treuthardt of rural Monroe; and one sister: Mary Mitchell of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers: Frank, Louie, David, John, Robert, Walter and Emil.
Carl served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany in 1956. He was honorably discharged in 1958. He cherished the time he spent with his family and the memories they created more than anything else in the world. Carl will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends on Sunday July 22, 2018 from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Gene and Glenda Treuthardt residence (1972 Old Hwy 81, Argyle WI. 53504).
