TOWN OF SYLVESTER - Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover vehicle accident Thursday on County SS in the Town of Sylvester, causing the occupants to become pinned inside the vehicle.

According to a Green County Sheriff's Department news release, Edward Lee Heeder, 27, Monroe, was eastbound on County SS negotiating a curve when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the north shoulder. The vehicle rolled over and hit a tree coming to rest on the passenger side, against the tree. Heeder and his passenger, Odessa Ann Hudson, 28, Monroe, were both pinned inside the vehicle.

Both occupants reported they were not wearing seatbelts and were extricated from the vehicle. Heeder and Hudson were transported to Monroe Clinic ER via Green County EMS for treatment of their injuries.

The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Heeder was cited for driving too fast for conditions, failure to have control and failure to wear a safety belt. Hudson was also cited for failure to wear a safety belt.

Deputies and Juda Fire Department responded to the scene.
