MONROE - Internal technical difficulties caused by a lightning strike Sunday night led the telephone system at the Monroe Times to be inoperable on Monday.

Morris Media of Monroe apologizes for any inconveniences this caused its customers.

Technicians were working on the telephone system on Monday night in hopes that phones would be working for business operations on Tuesday.
