Thompson selected as second VP for WAFP

NEW GLARUS - Mark Thompson, MD, New Glarus, was elected to serve as the 2012 second vice president for the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) at the WAFP's 63rd annual meeting on Feb. 1 in Waukesha.

Thompson serves as chief medical officer at Monroe Clinic. Prior to joining Monroe Clinic, he was the program director for the University of Wisconsin Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program, Appleton. He also served for four years as a military faculty member in the U.S. Air Force for the St. Louis University Family Medicine Residency.

Thompson earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his residency at Midland Family Medicine Residency and a fellowship in faculty development at the University of Michigan.
