MADISON — Christina Schoenwetter of Monroe was ordained into Christian ministry Oct. 22 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Madison.

Rev. Schoenwetter serves as Associate Pastor of Engagement at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe.

A native of Columbus, she has lived in Wisconsin her entire life and grew up in the United Church of Christ denomination.  Prior to coming to Monroe, she was a teacher in the DeForest School District.

Rev. Schoenwetter received her Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in May of 2022. She was a pastoral intern at Memorial United Church of Christ in Fitchburg from September 2021 through May of 2022 and has served as a supply preacher in the United Church of Christ’s Southwest Association.

She also serves as Conference Disaster Coordinator for the Wisconsin United Church of Christ. 

Rev. Schoenwetter will officially be installed as Associate Pastor at St. John’s in November.
