Scavenger teams get instructions

MONROE - The Green Haven Family Advocates 2009 scavenger hunt gets started at 10 a.m. Saturday at Twining Park, with 19 teams coming to play.

Teams participating in this year's event titled, "Mooooving Experience!!" will be checking in continually from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. without a break, and sent out at 10- to 15-minute intervals. The time gap should keep teams from following each other through the route.

Team check-in will be in the shelter (with the fireplace) on the right side of the road. At check-in, teams will receive clues, checklists, and the hint-line numbers for the day.

The course will take a minimum of two hours, 30 minutes to complete.

Teams will be photographed by Green Haven's photographer at the first stop.

Activities, including a DJ and children's games, begin at noon in the park. Monroe FFA and Monroe NOON Optimists will be serving food.

Each team member will receive three food slips to redeem for food items from the vendors. Food can also be purchased.

Team T-Shirts will be available for pick-up at the Green Haven office between 3 and 6 p.m. Friday. Feel free to drop off any team donations you have collected.

If you have any questions contact Green Haven at 325-6489.
