MONROE - No injuries were reported in a house fire on Monroe's east side early Saturday, June 23.
Firefighters from seven area fire departments responded to a residential fire in the 2300 block of 11th Street, according to the Monroe Fire Department.
Monroe firefighters were dispatched at 7:12 a.m. and, upon arrival, found heavy smoke coming from the roofline of the home. They were assisted by firefighters from Juda, Monticello, New Glarus, Browntown, Orfordville and Orangeville.
The interior of the residence was severely damaged, but no one was home at the time of the fire.
The Monroe Fire Department is still investigating the cause.
