MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild announces the 2009 season. The season begins in April with performances of "Godspell." Based on the Gospel of St. Matthew, with a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, the parables of Jesus come to life on stage at Monroe High School's PAC, just in time for Easter. Next up, Neil Simon's classic favorite "The Odd Couple," directed by Chris Weis, will be at the PAC for two weekends in June.

In July, MTG's new youth theatre company, Stage Right, will perform three classic fairy tales in its debut performance, "Fairytale Theatre." The show will be written, directed, acted and technically run by students. Performances will be at the PAC.

Join us in October for "Fresh Brewed: Tales from the Coffee Bar." This Dessert Theatre performance (coffee and dessert is included in the ticket price) will be our first production in our MTG Stage building.
