LAKE DELTON - A Monroe woman was among four arrested Monday afternoon near Lake Delton as suspects in a Rock County home invasion and burglary.

Sarah H. Buckingham, 20, was apprehended near the Crystal Grand Music Theatre, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Department.

Also arrested were Christopher A. Kimps, 24, Whitewater area; Jesse D. Adams, 22, Beloit area; and Kayla L. Pearson, 21, Janesville.

The arrests came after law enforcement investigated a tip Monday that the suspects in a home invasion Friday near Edgerton were at the Kalahari Resort near Lake Delton and the Wisconsin Dells.

When Lake Delton Police attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, it fled and a "short chase ensued," ending in front of the Crystal Grand.

"All four occupants fled on foot," according to Rock County officials. Buckingham and Kimps were apprehended almost immediately, while Adams and Pearson disappeared into a large wooded area.

After a three-hour search involving a helicopter and search dogs, Adams was located one mile away and Pearson was found hiding near a building in the woods within 100 yards.

Buckingham and the other three suspects are believed to have coordinated a home invasion late Friday on West Miles Road in the town of Fulton, south of Edgerton.

Two men kicked the male homeowner in the face and demanded he open his gun safe, according to a Janesville Gazette report. They left in the homeowners' pickup truck with about 30 guns, jewelry and an unspecified amount of cash.

Pearson was a friend of the victim's son, according to Rock County authorities.

Rock County investigators are working with Walworth County authorities to investigate whether the suspects could also have been involved in recent burglaries in Walworth County.

The four are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. They face charges of robbery, burglary, battery, false imprisonment, theft and operating a vehicle without the owner's consent.
