Monroe school board discusses filling empty member seat
School Board

MONROE — At the School District of Monroe Board of Education meeting on April 10, board members discussed the filling of an empty seat at the table. Last month, Teri Ellefson resigned from her post.

People interested in filling the seat should send a Letter of Intent and a brief resume to Cynthia Rupnow, Executive Secretary, by April 21. Interviews and a vote will be done in early May, with newly elected board members Mike Froseth, Jr. and Terry Montgomery seated.

Also on Monday, the Board of Education extended District Administrator Rodney Figueroa’s contract by a year, through the 2024-25 school year.
