MONROE - A decision has been made to postpone the Board of Review meeting until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26. The Board will consider any objections regarding assessments as long as they are submitted no later than 48 hours before at the Board of Review.
Individuals can continue scheduling appointments with the assessors to appeal their assessed values. Those that are a City of Monroe property owner and would like to schedule an open book appointment with Accurate Assessor may do so by visiting accurateassessor.com and clicking on "Appointments".
The assessor will also be available by email info@accurateassessor.com, or by phone 920-749-8098. Due to call volume, it is recommended setting an appointment online. Those that call and cannot reach an assessor should leave a detailed message with the property address, parcel, and pertinent information.
They may also email the assessor documentation, evidence, and sales comparisons to review. Accurate will respond within 48 business hours no matter what form of communication is used.
In addition to postponing the Board of Review meeting, approximately 30 property owners will receive an updated assessment letter informing them of an uploading error from our prior assessment company filed for 2021. For those owners of one of these properties, a notice will explain the issue and give instructions should the owner wish to speak to an assessor to answer questions.
In a statement, the City of Monroe and Accurate Accessor said they would like to thank everyone for understanding this matter and allowing all residents more time to complete the open book process fairly. "We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you personally," the statement concluded.
