GALENA — Apple River State Bank announced the appointments of Mandy Johnson as Branch Manager of the bank’s new Darlington office and Crystal Erdenberger as Assistant Branch Manager of the bank’s Scales Mound office.
“We are thrilled to have Mandy Johnson manage our new Darlington office, which is expected to open late spring when remodeling is complete,” said Joel Holland, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer. “She is a Darlington resident and worked as the former manager of the Woodford State Bank office in Darlington. Mandy is actively involved in the Darlington Community and Lafayette County.”
“We are also excited to have Crystal Erdenberger join our Scales Mound office. Both managers are well acquainted with area residents and will provide expert advice to fit our customers’ financial needs,” said Holland.
The Darlington office will be the second Wisconsin office for Apple River State Bank and will expand the number of banking locations to eight, plus a network of nearly 40 ATM locations. Apple River State Bank is the only locally owned, independent community bank chartered in Jo Daviess County.
Holland added, “When you bank with us, you have access to our decision-makers, which you don’t often find in banking today. It’s just the way we do business.”
Mandy received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Change Management from the University of Wisconsin Platteville.
Crystal is an Apple Canyon Lake resident and comes to the bank from Benton State Bank, where she worked as a teller supervisor. She is a native of Patch Grove, Wisconsin.
Apple River State Bank is marking its 75th anniversary in 2023. Locations include Apple River, Elizabeth, Hanover, Scales Mound, Warren, Galena (First Community Bank of Galena), and Hazel Green, Wisconsin.
