MONROE - Spring-like temperatures and experts in almost every field of home remodeling, repair, construction, and financing made the South West Wisconsin Home Builders Association Home Show the place to be Saturday.
There was something for everyone who took advantage of the warm weather to spend a day thinking about home projects.
More than 30 vendors set up booths at Ludlow Mansion for the second annual event. From roofs to floors, windows to electricity, carpet to financing, vendors answered questions and offered advice to people as they walked from booth to booth throughout the day.
"The weather is too nice to stay home," laughed Pat Pohl, Monroe.
People were thinking about their spring and summer projects, said Guy Calkins, owner of guy's Home Improvement in Monroe.
"They're thinking about home improvements," he said, "and we're getting geared up for when the weather gets warmer."
William Bearer and Julia Holland, owners of Handyman Services in Monroe, know that spring can be a busy time of year.
"As soon as the snow is off the ground people will start calling us," Bearer said. "That's when we get busy."
