MONROE - Contested state offices and uncontested county offices will be on the ballot when voters go to the polls Tuesday.

Green County offices listed on the ballot are sheriff, clerk of courts and coroner. All three have candidates who are running unopposed in the primary. Green County Chief Deputy Jeff Skatrud is running as a Democrat for sheriff. Incumbent Carol Thompson is running for another term as clerk of courts and Green County Deputy Coroner Kristen Hasse is running for coroner. Both Thompson and Hasse are running as Republicans.

Green County Sheriff Randy Roderick and Green County Coroner Jan Perry announced earlier this year they wouldn't seek election this fall.

Although the three candidates don't have opposition in the primary, they are on the ballot. According to the Green County Clerk's office, the unopposed candidates need to receive a majority of the votes cast to be their party's nominee for the position.

Three Republican candidates, Tony Wickersham, Tom Lamberson and Kurt Schlicht, are running to challenge incumbent Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Waunakee, for the 27th State Senate seat. Erpenbach is unopposed in the Democratic primary.

For the 80th Assembly District, Janis Ringhand and Dan Henke are running unopposed on the Democratic and Republican tickets, respectively. They are running to replace Brett Davis, R-Oregon, who is not seeking another term.

Davis is one of five candidates running for lieutenant governor on the Republican ticket. Other Republican candidates for the position are Robert Lorge, Dave Ross, Nick Voegeli and Rebecca Kleefisch.

Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor are James Schneider, Tom Nelson, Spencer Coggs and Henry Sanders.

Terry Vigil is running for lieutenant governor for the Libertarian Party.

Democrats Tim John and Tom Barrett are on the ballot for their party's nomination for governor, while Scott Paterick, Mark Neumann and Scott Walker are campaigning for their party's nomination.

Two Republicans, Chad Lee and Peter Theron, are campaigning to see who will take on Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, for the 2nd Congressional District seat.

Republicans Stephen Finn, Dave Westlake and Ron Johnson are campaigning for the chance to challenge incumbent U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Middleton.

In one other contested state-wide primary, Republicans Scott Feldt, Kurt Schuller and Jim Sanfilippo are running on the Republican ticket for state treasurer, while incumbent Dawn Marie Sass is being challenged by Dan Bohrod on the Democratic ticket.

Winners of the contested primaries will face off in the Nov. 2 general election.
