MONROE — A Wisconsin man charged with child sex offenses in both Dodge and Green Counties was sentenced on Monday to 15 years in prison in the Dodge County cases.
In Dodge County, Terry Gould, 48, was charged with eight felonies including repeated sexual assault of the same child; and trafficking of a child. The Green County Crimes, meanwhile, happened in Albany, prosecutors have said. He faces a jury trial in front of Duane Jorgenson in Green County Circuit Court Branch 2, with the first gaveling set for 1:30 p.m. on October 24.
Gould was found guilty in Dodgeville of two felonies and sentenced to 15 years, and 7 years respectively for sex crimes involving children. The sentences handed out by the Dodge County Circuit Court are to run concurrent to each other and include a total of at least 10 years of supervision; and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
He faces multiple felony charges in Green County, including having sexual relations with a child and child sex trafficking, according to officials, court records and published reports.
Gould has lived in several locations in recent years, including Albany.
District Attorney Craig Nolen declined to comment on Monday when asked if the Dodge County sentencing will impact his case or his sentencing recommendations in Green County Circuit Court, should he be found guilty.
In the Dodge County cases, Gould was accused of crimes against two victims. One of the victims allegedly said that the abuse happened “more times than he can count on his fingers and toes,” according to a report by the Watertown Daily Times, citing the criminal complaint there.
Court records show Gould posted $25,000 bond in Green County. He posted $5,000 bond in Dodge County April 6, 2022.
