MONROE - Green County Development Corporation's Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting and recognition dinner on Tuesday, April 30 at Peppercorn Banquets and Catering.

Reception and networking begins at 5 p.m. and dinner and program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The theme for the evening is "New Plan, New Brand, Greater Opportunity for Success - Celebrating the Artful Success of Green County Businesses and Communities."

"2012 marked the culmination of the countywide branding initiative and the development of GCDC's strategic economic development plan," said Anna Schramke, executive director of GCDC. "We worked hard to integrate GCDC's plan into the new plans being created on a state and region. The results of that work will be showcased in many ways during the evening. It is very exciting to finally have a plan that aligns with all of our partners, locally, regionally and on a statewide basis."

The evening will begin with a networking reception, featuring samples of Green County products. Following a sit-down dinner, Schramke will present a brief report and Noreen Rueckert, Green County tourism director, will share highlights of the branding report. GCDC will also recognize several key leaders and businesses that have added to the strength of the county and its economic growth during the past year.

Reed Hall, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, will end the evening as the keynote speaker. Hall's presentation will be "WEDA - Helping Wisconsin Move Forward."

The event is open to all community and business leaders. The cost of the event, which includes a two-entree dinner, is $40 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are required. To make a reservation, contact the GCDC at 608-328-9452 or email at gcdc@tds.net. Payment can be sent to Green County Development Corporation, 1016 16th Ave., Monroe, WI 53566.
