MONROE - Volunteers for Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Middleton, will go door-to-door in the city Saturday as part of Feingold's re-election campaign, according to a statement from his campaign Thursday.
It's the first canvass this year and the fourth campaign canvass volunteers have launched for the senator's 2010 campaign.
Volunteers have knocked on more than 17,000 doors in 54 communities for Feingold's fourth campaign for the United Sates Senate.
Feingold will begin the "Spring Fling" canvass at his Madison campaign office Friday. He has campaign offices in Eau Claire, Hudson, La Crosse, Green Bay, Milwaukee and Middleton. He plans to open four more offices the first week of April.
"I'm honored to have grassroots support in neighborhoods throughout Wisconsin," Feingold said, in the statement. "Listening and talking with Wisconsinites, face to face, is the most important thing I do. And with volunteers going door-to-door this Saturday, we're able to talk with voters about the important issues facing them and their families."
