MONROE — Four people were injured, two seriously, in a one-vehicle crash in rural New Glarus last Wednesday. According to reports, the crash happened at about 6:53 p.m. in the N9600 block of Primrose Center Rd., in the Town of New Glarus.

“Investigation revealed that Bo W. Zantow, 17, of Belleville was driving a black 2007 GMC Sierra south on Primrose Center Rd when he lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree,” a Green County Sheriff’s Office statement said. “Zantow was transported by ground ambulance to UW Hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries.”

Passengers in the car also were injured, according to police. Kaitlyn C. Schramer, 18, of Sun Prairie, and Dakota J. Petro, 17, of Belleville received injuries characterized by authorities as non-life threatening and refused transport. Those two were reportedly wearing seatbelts.

But Aubrey L. Murray, 16, of Stoughton, who was “unrestrained,” suffered suspected life-threatening injuries. She was extricated from the car and then flown by MedFlight to UW hospital.

No airbags deployed in the car, police added.
