Monroe Police

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 8th Street and 8th Avenue at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. Kay Johnson, 66, Monroe, collided with a 16-year-old male Brodhead driver. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Johnson was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash in the N9600 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of New Glarus, at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. Daniel D. Roberts, 61, La Crosse, was southbound when a truck began backing out of a field drive in front of him. He attempted to avoid the collision but struck the truck. The truck was undamaged. Roberts’ vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The driver of the truck, Jacob J. Lenz, 26, Monticello, was cited for unsafe backing.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — Kathleen A. Kelly, 74, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove, at 6:27 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. No injuries were reported. Kelly’s 2010 Honda sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, Nov. 2:

•  Stephanie L. Roberts, 23, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 7:18 p.m. on CTH F, Town of Fayette. No injuries were reported. Roberts’ 2014 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.

•  Joyce E. Thomas, 74, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 7:39 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. No injuries were reported. Thomas’ 2013 Ford sustained moderate damage.

On Saturday, Nov. 3:

•  No injuries were reported at 1:21 p.m. from a two-vehicle accident on County W, Town of New Diggings. Chad M. Robbins, 36, Benton, was driving a 2010 Toyota and Larry A. Redfearn, 55, Hazel Green, was driving a 2007 GMC. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

•  No injuries were reported at 5:50 p.m. from a one-vehicle rollover on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Chase M. Goodrich, 20, Winnebago, swerved to miss a deer, causing his 2007 Chevrolet to veer into the ditch and overturn. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. The Darlington Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.

•  Gloria A. Scherer, 64, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 6:14 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. Her 1996 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

On Sunday, Nov. 4:

•  Joan E. Overton, 73, Benton, reported hitting a deer at 12:33 p.m. on County J, Town of Benton. No injuries were reported. Overton’s 2016 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

•  Nancy L. Severson, 70, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 4:21 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. Severson’s 2001 Dodge sustained minor damage.
